August is always a very busy month for the Finlinsons,
with lots of parties and celebrations.

The first weekend in August was the
Burnham Reunion (my mom's side) in Helper Utah.

Kait loved having water squirted into her mouth with a squirt gun!
The following week was our annual 7-peaks day.
Me and pop lounging in the wave pool.
We always rent a cabana and it is so nice to have a place
to hide from the sun and snack all day!
We did get brave enough to go down one of the
big slides and the cave in is always a favorite.
But I think we spent most of our time in the wave pool.
Especially Gichin, who doesn't like the big slides!
August 11th was Kait's first birthday.
We had a fun celebration at a park in Orem.
She loved her cute ladybug cake and was soon covered with black frosting!
When she was opening her presents she got
two stuffed animals , a bear and a kitty.
She hugged those things so tight and would not let go.
It was so cute!
One Friday night we decided to go up the
canyon for some tinfoil dinners and cobbler.
It was beautiful weather and so nice to be up in the mountains.
Gichin's aunt has some peach trees in their yard in Pleasant Grove.
So we went to pick some for eating and for
my first canning experience without my mom.
Jamie came along and Gichin just had to take this picture. Isn't he so artistic!

August was a very fun and eventful month. Althgouh i'm sad i missed out on dutch oven up the canyon. Picking peaches was fun, although a bit itchy. The peach trees are very picturesque. (however you spell that)
