Goblins!

Gichin had a fun couple of weeks at the end of July. The scouts in our Provo ward were planning a 3 day trip to Goblin Valley and the Green River. Although Gichin didn't have a calling in scouts, they needed another adult to go and Gichin very happily volunteered. It was our first long separation since we've been married (before that we had only be apart 1 night!), and I can't say that I'm too fond of it. I don't know how women handle it whose husbands are gone so much because of work!
Gichin had a wonderful time, and I'm glad he was able to go, even though it was a miserable 3 days at home alone with just work to occupy my time. I couldn't find any pictures of them rafting down the river, but here are some cool pictures of Goblin Valley, and the slot canyon they hiked through.

A beautiful sunrise

It really does look like you are on another planet or something.
We are planning on taking a camping trip back here sometime, I really want to see if for myself.

The week after Goblin Valley Gichin went Texas for a training conference for his new teaching job. Once again I was left at home to work. Luckily for me it was Pioneer Day week so I was able to spend a couple days with my family, instead of alone. I couldn't find any pictures from Texas but check the next blog for the fun filled details of Pioneer Day in Delta!! (Maybe I'll try again to locate some Texas pics and add them later)
