Summer Fun!

We spent the 4th of July weekend down in Delta with my family.
We went to the rez, and Haddie loved the water!

Here we are waiting for the parade to start.

Haddie enjoyed picking up the candy and playing with it more than watching the parade.

Waiting in anticipation of the homemade ice-cream!

Enjoyingthe fireworks.  Luckily loud noises don't bother her at all.

My mom made Haddie and her cousin Kaitlyn matching summer dresses.  Don't they look so cute together!  Haddie loves her cousin Kait and is always extra smiley whenever she is around.

Right after the fourth we headed off on a two week trip to California.  We usually go each summer to visit Gichin's parents, but this year we decided to take the long drive through Reno and all the way down California.  My brother Cory came with us as a High School Graduation gift and it was really fun to have him along.  He was especially good at entertaining Haddie.  We took about a week driving down and enjoyed many fun stops along the way.  I tried my best to limit the pictures, but we saw a lot of new things!

Our first stop was the Salt Flats just outside of Wendover.

Then to Carson City

Lake Tahoe was beautiful.

This is one of the tree trunks that the Donner party cut down by the lake.  This part is what was under the snow, about 10 feet!

Here we are at Sutter's Mill.

Gichin and Cory panning for gold in the American River.  Something very exciting for a history teacher!

Haddie had fun playing in the water and eating the rocks.

Next stop was Sutter's Fort in Sacramento

Sacramento Capitol

We visited Fort Ross.
Hold on for dear life!

Oakland Temple

On the ferry going to Alcatrez Island

Alcatraz was probably one of our favorite parts of our trip.

Gichin has had a goal to visit all of the Catholic Missions in California.  We have been to a few on previous trips to California.  Since we knew we probably wouldn't be going back to northern California very soon if ever, we packed them all into one week.  I think our record was 8 in one day!  Total we visited 13.

Haddie was a great traveler and had fun on our trip

Santa Monica Pier

Once we got to Gichin's parents house, we had some time to relax and hang out at the beach.
Haddie is definitely a beach girl!  Too bad we don't have one closer.

My handsome surfer

We were able to go and do some baptisms at the San Diego Temple with my brother.

Future surfer girl!  She got so excited sitting on the surf board.

Just hangin at the beach.

We had a great trip, and especially enjoyed seeing friends and family we don't get to see often enough.

Haddie Catch Up #3

Here we go with Catch Up #3
Just a cute picture soon after she started sitting up really well.

Me and Haddie enjoying our St. Patrick's Day Breakfast!
 Smiley girl

 Happy Easter!

I made Haddie's Easter dress, and I was quite proud of how it turned out!
This is one of my all time favorite pictures

Haddie's first bus ride.  Gichin took some of his students on a field trip to the Dugway Geod-beds to dig for geodes, so me and Haddie tagged along.  I think she enjoyed herself!

Can you say scary hair!

Haddie's first camping trip

She thought the tent was pretty cool

And she loved the dirt!

10 months old

I love looking at the past year of pictures, but it makes me sad to see how fast she is growing up!

Haddie Catch Up #2

Well, here we are again.  Later than I had hoped, but here nonetheless!  My mom tried to convince me to forget about catching, but I just can't bring myself to do it.  So I hope you will indulge me as I continue my picture catch-up.

Haddie's Blessing Day

She wore the same blessing dress I was blessed in!

Our Halloween Costumes. I am especially proud of Gichin's, which was much above my skill level of sewing, so you can't look too closely!

Haddie's first meeting with Santa!

Merry Christmas!

Haddie enjoyed all the wonderful presents she received.  Especially the wrapping paper!

Gichin's dad did a lot with martial arts when he was in college.  Gichin is named after the father of modern karate, so his aunt made him this when he was a baby.  If you compare pictures, Haddie looks just like the picture of Gichin wearing this outfit.

Haddie's first time at the beach over Christmas vacation in California.

Our happy girl!

She loved rice cereal from the start, and has been a great eater since then.

Don't you just love those chubby cheeks!

Happy Valentines Day!

Me and Gichin love to snowshoe in the winter, and Haddie joined right in the fun.

Just a few happy, smiley pictures of my sweet girl.

Haddie is still the sweetest little girl ever.

Hopefully one more catch-up will bring us up-to-date somewhat.
Here's to hoping catch-up #3 it right around the corner!

Haddie Catch Up #1

Even though it's been 7 months (2 months sooner that last time!), and Haddie is now 8 months old, I couldn't resist posting some pictures of her from the last 8 months. Especially for those who have never met her or don't get to see her very often.

Haddie has been the best baby ever, and really spoils her mom and dad. Our first few days home were a little rough I'll admit, mostly just figuring out the eating thing. But after that she's been a gem! (With the exception of a night or two here and there!)

Isnt' she the cutest little girl ever!

Haddie was a thumb sucker for a few weeks, then gave it up for the pacifier I guess.

She has loved her baths since the first one.

Our first family photo!

During the first few months, she would sleep with her hand sticking out in the air. It was cute and pretty funny.

Haddie's first smile caught on camera!
She is a very happy baby and is always full of smiles and laughs!

Her favorite and only place to sleep for at least the first 6 months!
Lots of snuggle time with mom!

And dad!

Our sweet girl

I love this picture of Haddie with her dad

Our happy girl!

She loves to stick her tounge out

Catch up #2 to come soon...hopefully :)
