Since we couldn't go home to help celebrate Derek's birthday, we had a party for him at TJ and Shauna's the day after. We had a good time watching a slide show of pictures from when he was little . He was such a cute little boy!
Then we read some funny stories of things that Derek did and said when he was little. I had forgotten how funny he was. It was fun to remember the old days, especially as we all get a little older.
I made my first ever ice-cream cake for the occasion. It was quite the experience but I think it turned out alright, for a first time at least.
