Finally!!

We finally made it!! Gichin wanted to put Abby Marsden is pleased to announce the graduation of her husband Gichin on his graduation announcement! And although it's true, we are both happy and grateful to be done. At least for now!

It was a crazy fun-filled 4 or 5 days. We picked up Gichin's mom from the airport on Wednesday night and went to visit some friends in Farmington that night. Thursday was the University Wide Commencement with Vice-President Dick Cheney as the main speaker. There was added security and we had to be in our seats between 1-3, with the ceremony starting at 4.

Here's Gichin waiting for it to start amongst all the other graduates. He had an excellent seat, and got some good pictures of the vice-president.

BYU had provided treat bags under each seat in the Marriott Center as well as live and recorded entertainment to help pass the hours. Cheney's speech was excellent, much to the dismay of protestors.

My dad, Jamie, and Gichin's mom were able to come to the Thursday Commencement, and we appreciated their support.

Thursday night we had a big dutch oven party with some friends and family. We had BBQ Beef sandwiches, some amazing dutch oven baked beans, and dutch oven potatoes. And then of course cobbler for dessert. The food was amazing, and we all had a great time. I think we had about 18 or 19 people in all.

Friday morning, Gichin and his mom went to the MOA to meet President and Sister Samuelson, and have their picture taken with them. I wasn't able to go because I had to work.

Friday afternoon was the college graduation ceremony, where Gichin got to actually walk. Doesn't he look happy to be done!

Most of my family was able to come to the Friday graduation, and the rest met up with us later for a BBQ. We really appreciated all of the support from our wonderful family!

We had a BBQ at Gichin's aunt and uncle's house in Pleasant Grove. There graciously offered to get everything ready while we were at the graduation, and it was all ready to eat when we got there. It was quite the party!
